Alexandra King is a freelance writer and musician. 

Alexandra's books and characters are inspired by her love of animals and children; and her desire to provide children with stories and characters that are fun, interesting, and educational. 

With her first series, Ancient City Kitty, She tells the tale of four friends who roam the streets of Saint Augustine in search of fun and adventure. Along the way they learn about friendship; responsibility, embracing cultural diversity, altruism, and history.

Ancient City Kitty also shows children that regardless of their circumstances, the challenges that they have to face, and no matter how lonely they may feel at times; obstacles can be overcome and turned into positive learning experiences. And wherever they are, they can always make friends; and in those friendships they will always have a family.
